Kauai Adventure Engagement Photographer
Kauai was a dream. So I met up with Mads and Trevor outside of the gate of a beautiful golf course, Allertons Gardens. They led me over a fence (we trespassing 10 seconds into our relationship, I LOVE IT) We then walked through the property for a moment before sneaking around ANOTHER fence and heading down into a jungle trail. The trees looked like snakes, and I joked that we wouldn't even notice if there WAS a snake in one of the branches, but then I spend the rest of the hike inspecting each branch and worrying that I would see a snake. (I would bring my boyfriend here the next day and scare him the heck out by saying one of the branches was a snake!)
So Mads and Trevor actually met way back in middle school. Apparently she once made fun of him for having a funny last name (Karma that now she's going to have to take that last name now!) They had always been friends, and when Trevor moved from Utah to Kauai, they continued to keep in touch. She even came to visit him on the island, even though they were JUST FRIENDS. The connection was there though, and they both knew. Then when he came back to Utah for a trip home during Christmas, they KISSED. And just knew they were meant to be. A few month of long distance later, she actually was able to move to Kauai to be with him! Now they live in paradise together and are basically living the dream.
Trevor proposed to Mads during a photoshoot. He had known for a while that she was the one, and he had a ring. They were going to be modeling for a photographer at the Shipwrecks cliffs so he decided that that was the perfect time to surprise Mads with a proposal. So they were there at the beach, modeling for the shoot. Then, right in the middle of the session, he got on one knee and popped the question!!! She was COMPLETELY surprised, and obviously said yes right away!
I absolutely loved hanging out with these two! They obviously are so so cute together and have THE BEST chemistry. They clearly love each other, and they also love Kauai, the gorgeous garden state we explored together! They're getting married later this month in this beautiful paradise and I'm so excited for them!
